Writing Prompts

Interested in helping your child improve their writing? One place to start is to look for good writing prompts that are appropriate for incoming freshmen students. A great resources is the writing portion of the NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress). It not only has a variety of writing prompts by grade and skill level but there are a whole host of sample essays written by real students. The artifacts are available on the government's website.
